Nice to see another coon hunter on here trapper john. I hunt Pa quite a bit whereabouts down there are you from?I hunt just south of the Pa,Ny line. No good pictures lately too many young dogs im messing with. What breed are you running?
-
I run a six year old bluetick. I'm in central pa in northumberland county. What do u run?
-
Ive got mostly Black and tans but my sons got a real nice bluetick just over 2 doing a real good job..
-
Black and tans are hard to find here in pennsylvania
-
Most people up here use Walkers
-
Here in pennsylvania too. I'm not a fan of walkers they are good dogs I just think they r better for fox is all. I'm a blue tick or red tick guy
-
I know more guys in Pa who hunt black dogs than walkers myself..Mostly from western Pa. Not a big fan of the walkers myself i like to have a coon in my trees and not have to walk a mile to find it empty..Really like my redbones but cant find any good ones around anymore that are for sale.Ive got a 2 year old male whos doing great but took a long time to find one..

I know a bear guide from maine who lives by me here in pa who has great red dogs he's been breeding dogs a long time he's 61 years old I want to get one of his pups he has but don't have room right now till I get another kennel built. He is a master guide from maine and at the top of his class in houndsman I'll send my number to ur in box if ya wanna text me or call me I can tell ya more about the pups he has or give u his number.

Thanks for the info John but im in way over my head right now with young dogs..And need to move some of the ones ive got before i can even think of another one.Right now i have a almost year old black pup and a 2 year old black dog and 2 redbones and my boys bluetick. All are at the stage of needing lots of time by themselves.I will keep him in mind though once i get these dogs all finished and am in the market for a pup..
