I took this big 8 down on opening day of Black Powder, this past Saturday. He did not go very far at all with a double lung shot from the smoke pole. 145lb dressed, 2.5 years old they said he would have been a beast. Freezer filled and now looking for some does. Great way to start the season! I signed a waiver at the check station and they said this photo may make a cover for the fish and game pamphlet for next year. We shall see!
