Went looking for a couple cows this morning. Set up in some trees because of the wind direction. We were hunting a small piece of public ground and we had seen some cows on the private. We had been watching for about 30 minutes when a bull popped up about 700 yards out after about 30 minute he starts coming closer and closer. He walked past us at about 40 yards. I'm shooting photo's with my iphone. Took some cool video but for some reason I can't get it to play. My buddy's expression says it all. Two cow tags and a bull at 40 yards.
We did get to make a play on a couple cows about 30 minutes later. The bull had bedded about 60 yards behind us. Boy did he look surprised when we jumped up. Didn't get an elk this morning we were about 5 seconds to slow. Fun day and great weather!
