Well the last week of gun in northern zone is upon us. I’ll be out on doe patrol this week. Then I’ll be over some food sources hunting late bow/muzzleloader in the southern zone. Looks like the snow is coming back too!

I am probably done until late ML. That’s only 2 weeks away!

Hopefully my mom gets a crack at a buck in the NZ before the end.

This is the worst weather you can get in the NZ -either rain or ass deep snow and 6" of snow on every tree limb.

The trees are hung pretty bad with snow.

I tried to get my mom out tonight but she decided to pass. So I snuck out to maybe fill my doe tag. Ended up seeing 2 doe and a fawn. A spike and a nice 6 point. The 6 seemed to be limping on his front left leg. He was getting along okay though and feeding like crazy.

I think I have her convinced to get back out there now.  ;)

Had this doe come in a bit to close for the Weatherby but perfect shot for my Springfield xds in 45acp. About a 20yd heart shot from a tripod stand.

Meat in the freezer! Nice job on the doe. She’s a good sized one!
