missed a nice buck with the black powder gun 60 yard shot down hill put the cross hairs on his lungs/hart total miss how do you aim when shooting up/ down hill
-
Downhill you would aim lower.
Uphill you would aim higher.
-
within 100 yards I wouldn't change anything... aim where you want to hit the deer!! just about every where in Steuben county in up or down lol, my one gun stand is on a cliff more or less with a bench above and blow it.. iv never had an issue just shooting them, again my stand is 60 yards from the top bench and 75 from the lower one so within a 100 yards I wouldn't change anything
-
At 60 yards, don't even think about it. Just shoot it!
-
I would do the same,I've missed a few in my days...Don't worry about it,you'll forget all about someday- just like the big one I missed---that was in 1975 --someday I'll forget all about it,,,,,and the big one in 1973,1976,2015,2014,2011,2003,Lets change the subject,,,,you might forget all about it someday..

Not sure about shooting up or down hill. I sighted my cva optima with one weight sabot and years later went to lighter and not relizesed . I shot a doe one time and the shot was high. Ended up breaking her spine she was still alive and only able to crawl. I reloaded and walked up to her to finish her off. After that I had to resight it in. Maybe you should test out again at the range. I know what you mean by it’s tough to forget about a miss.
