This thaw is really going to help the local herd, deer are out of their torpor and out on the feed. Had 19 turkeys in the backyard yesterday with 5 big toms strutting like it was april- pretty cool, wife had camera in her car, I'll try to get some pics if they come again, 3 of the toms are HUGE! ;D

Bad for ice fisherman good for the deer.. Been seeing them out eating the ceder trees...

They're on the move around here, too. Tracks all over along the road in what little snow we have left. The deer and turkeys are happy for sure.

First day this year I wore snowshoes--GPS marking out logroads and streams for the dreaded APA on private all American owned Property.
