cluck cluck cluck

Briefly checked out a year-round trout stream today to no avail, but on the way home I saw two gobblers strutting in a field.

I've got a box of #5s ready.  Anyone else seeing them strutting yet?

I've being seeing huge flocks of turkeys in the cut over corn fields now that the snow has melted. I've been seeing a lot of toms strutting amongst the hens.

This time of year Im usually on the road quite a bit . Ive actually been seeing them strutting for about 3 weeks now , had a big snow storm in our area about 10 days ago , and on my way home from work it was just starting to snow pretty good and I saw 3 nice toms showing their stuff right out in the middle of that snow . Wish I had a camera with me !

heard one gobble sunday about 3 miles into state forest at 2:30 pm.... seen a few birds struttin not too far off the road on monday morning

I was gathering sap for syrup making this afternoon when I heard lots of gobbling coming from deeper in the woods. Turned out to be 4 tom turkeys all hot to trot.

We're starting to see quite a few strutters here in mid Michigan also. Time to pattern the shotguns and dust off the decoys!

I Armour All mine , it really makes the dekes stand out naturally , gives that iridescence color .

I dont think the cold as much as wet . The hens should not have started laying eggs yet , but if this cold , wet weather pattern stays another two weeks then they might have some problems .
