Real pepperoni as in cured and dried or pepperoni flavored sausage and then smoked?

I hunted Wednesday afternoon and this afternoon. Wednesday I headed out with the bow in hopes of sticking a doe. Had 3 does come in and circle just out of range. Took the shotgun with me this evening and ended up seeing 4 does on my way in to the stand. Then saw a doe and a 6 point. The 6 point was at 10 yards, but I can’t shoot a buck until late bow/muzzleloader starts next week.  He would have been tasty! He chased the doe around a little which was cool to see. She never gave me a shot. Figures I go out to try to get a doe and a buck shows up! No complaints though it was a good hunt.

I can almost smell it Dom!

I have been out the past 2 days with the smoke pole. Seeing some does and small bucks. The weather has been about as perfect as it could be. Cold enough to keep the snow but not bitter cold.

Here are a couple that made it. The time and date is wrong. 1 buck was the last week of NZ and the second was a few days after it closed. I don't think I had pics of either of these bucks until now. They will be beauties next year.

That’s awesome Bruce. Some good prospects for next season for sure. I also heard about a nice 12 pointer that was spotted behind your property by the next road towards me. I’ve been out for 3 afternoon sits this week with the smoke pole but haven’t seen much. I’m going to give it a couple more try’s then call it a season.

A 12 point?  :o

Any idea if he made it through?

Been hitting the finger lakes the past few days. I saw a solid shooter 8 point last night but it was too far away. I will give it one last try on Tuesday. It’s been a really fun season.
