Headed down to Va last weekend for the opener. Was cold and the birds didn’t gobble after pitching off the roost. Got lucky Saturday and heard one bird gobble about 9 o’clock. Got luck he strutted his way right to us only time I called was to get him to stop. Picked a few morels as well later that morning. Hopefully this weekend after the warm weather he had they are fired up more. |
