a view from the blind
« on: Oct 05, 2009, 06:45:00 PM »
had an ok opener even though I couldnt get the mallards to commit I ended up with three mergansers. I shot the first bird 10 minutes into shooting light and I had to shoot it agian to finish it before it was out of the bay and into the river channel and becuase of the hieght of my blind I had to stand up to finish it. Well as soon as I stood up and put a round in it,two nice drake mallards round the bend and were coming in nicely, until they seen me standing up finishing off that dang merganser. they bailed, no shot, I was pizzed off at that. heres a few pics.

Great picts!
I'm in the process of making a blind to fit my boat like you have.
Any modifications you would do to your blind to make it more hunter friendly?

not really the blind is great I would like a bigger boat. I bought the blind through basspro. really easy to assemble 1 man operation to raise and lower it.there are more pics of it set up on another thread right below this one "lets see your duck blinds"
