« on: Apr 03, 2009, 11:01:26 AM »
What care do I need , for preparing a Turkey for the Taxidermist?

Does anyone no of a good Taxidermist in the upstate NY area , say 50 miles Radius of Hudson Falls , Glens Falls area.

What are they charging for a full mounted Turk. these days?

You sound pretty confident that you will harvest one. I see your name is not on the list for our turkey contest. Send me a private message if your are interested.

I just got on this forum, I kill turkeys every year. Just never thought much about getting one mounted until now. The one I kicked myself for not getting mounted was a Hen that weighed just over 15lbs. and sported a 8" Beard.

ive heard for preparation youre supposed to put like a paper towel or toilet paper in their mouth/throat and then put them in a garbage bag and keep them upright.
