Tagged out already in VT

Took two opening morning by 9:00 AM, 15.3 pound jake and a 21.3 pound tom. My buddy also got a decent jake and filled his second tag this morning, while I filmed the hunt. All done now for both MA and VT. Photo of yesterday's birds below. -Jim

Great pic Jim, and congrats.  Season starts in NH today, can't make it out til Saturday...working for a living definetely cuts into my hunting time :(

LOTS of birds out there guys, so keep at it! When we got Jim's 2nd bird Tuesday, it was one of about a DOZEN that were in the bunch! My friend took the smallest one of the bunch, a young jake. For the most part, we often let the big guys go these days. My jake Monday was a "triple bearded" bird, by the way, my third triple-beard ever. Got several double-beard birds, over the years though, including a nice two-year old last year in VT. Here's a pic of the one from Monday....5.5, 4.5 and 1.5 inch beards.  -Jim
