OK...so I'm thinking I need a better source for batteries and a better spot for the cam.

What about rigging up a 12V from emergency lights that get changed out. Most cameras have a 12V auxiliary plug. Picture quality looks real good.

late rut, I was finding rut sign well after hunting season ended that wasnt there during season, some does must have come into estrus way later. I think when we had that one cold spell some were bred but it heated up again and rut slowed and then came back after season closed.

Checked for a 12v hook up....cheaper cams don't have one....   Got a fresh set of batteries and put it out by my stand....not a lot of sign though....did find where they are traveling to the oaks....might have to set it over there for a few days....We'll see.....

I would say that would be the thing to do if that's where they seem to be traveling to, also might think on moving your stand if you seem to get more action there.

Thinking they are heading across the river, as there are a lot more oaks over there....could be why I was getting only a picture every few days....My mother has seen a small buck several mornings, but seems to be a few days apart with the sightings....would all seem to fit...might have to get the row boat out and go after the deer.....
