That's a Great Story!! You are a Great Parent for being so supportive and being in your child's life.  Being an educator, I see too many children with disabilities and/or behavioral problems not get the support they need at home to succeed!!  You are a GREAT PARENT!!!  ;D

Congrats to your son on this huge milestone.. :)

U should teach parenting classes. The lack of supportive hard-ass boot in the bum style of good ol fashioned parenting has def created a lazy generation.
Keep up the good work loony. Before  long your spike horn will be a 10 point

lol then if he becomes a 10 point that makes me closer to OLD......think i keep him spiked for a few more hundred years...........I am not teacher RR...but thank you most people think I am to harsh cause he is disabled and I treat him as normal as possible.........however I brought him up the way my Mom did me and whether he like it or not.........the boot has spoken.........more than a few times and  it keeps him moving in the right direction from sitting in front of computer and not working....he even has a job a couple days a week...now I need full time job for him and an apartment, girlfriend, kids, but I WILL NOT GROW OLD while he does this stuff.....lol just kidding....I hate growing old.....I might be growing old but I WONT GROW UP!..(does it show)

" the boot has spoken"

Hahaha that got my vote for best one liner in 2011.

Your right on,  Growing older is inevitable. Growing up is optional!

Congrats to you and your son!!!  Went through a lot of the same stuff with my daughter.....she was 2 months early....
Started at 3lbs and went to just under 2 from a staff infection at Albany med....Spent the first year of her life in the hospital, then the next year in and out....she was on a heart monitor for two years....Slept on Dads chest most nights.....So I could hear the alarm and wake her to start breathing again.....But now she is 25, married and a 4 year old son of her own.....Time sure flies!!
Enjoy all of his accomplishments in life....you formed the base for them!!
