2012 MHF Island Camping Trip

2012 MHF Island Camping Trip to Lake George

I need to get a reasonable head count of how many members are going to make the trip. The number of sites/docks will be set in October. I've already gotten several confirmations, but I will need to know everyone who plans on attending. I plan on reserving the sites for Thursday July 12th through Monday July 15th. I will need to recruit more people to reserve sites, since they are limited to one per person. Wives/girlfriends and kids are welcome. With the amount of interest already I think we'll have to aim to get sites on the larger island. This will also offer some more space so that people with kids or who want to turn in early can have some separation from the main common area.
We will be about three miles from the launch so I also would like to know who plans on bringing a boat and the general size. It will be very helpful to have a few boats transporting people and gear to and from the island. More importantly each site only has a dock for one boat so we need to make sure we have enough docks.
If I could just get a running head count of each member the number in their party and whether or not they are bringing a boat I can get it better organized in advance. I know it's ridiculously far in advance, but it's the only way to ensure I can get it set-up right. If you're not sure who's going to come with you I would round up and just add a "?".

List of attendees counted:

STKA * 19' Cuddy
Bog/MOM * 18'?
Issiah +2 * 18'?
ShipOfFools
Joe Snag ?
Cheeks
Raquettedacker *
Drobs (+1)
eyehi *
Mookie and Mrs.Mookie*

* Confirmed (10/18)
? Uncertain

Everyone that's going to be camping is going to have to PM me first and last name of who's coming so I can preregister and tell you what site # to check in for. I can only list one vehicle per site but I was told we were allowed two, you may have to try to see if they'll let you register the vehicle to the site when you check in. If not I think it's $6 a day to park so it's not that bad anyway.

Directions
Texting your ETA is the best method of communicating since cell service is sketchy on the island.

Day Trippers use this parking spot at the town pier please. There is no overnight parking allowed here though.

If you are camping you want to come to the campsite and meet someone at the dock.

Where is this taking place?

Question Steve. If Bog brought his boat for two days on the lake, does he still need to buy the lake usage permit??
I might come out for the day or something, but doubtful for camping.

Yes, they will still need the lake permit, but they sell some form of daily/weeky permits. No problem coming out for a day trip. We can pick people up at a state access where we met Issiah. It's an easy pick up spot with free parking right on the lake and pretty close. Can't park there over night though.
