Was thinkin about tryin turkey hunting this year - have never been - DNR is putting on a education/safety class for turkey by me and am going to try and get into the class - anyone have any pointers or tips?

i got into the class! It is free from the DNR it is 3 sessions - it is on 4/9, 4/13. and 4/16 at salamonie on the tuesdays and at rousch on the saturday! Is anyone else going to the class - it is only open to 20 people and is only for people with little to no turkey hunting experience...would like to maybe car pool with a few people if anyone from here is also going - let me know -

I dont eat wild turkey so I dont kill them ;D

ive never been and want to try one - i have heard they do not taste very good, but i get to taste them at the classes i am takin - i figure the classes hsould be fun and are free and if i dont like the taste i probably wont hunt them and use the money for my license to renew the ole' fishin license instead

class isover and was a good time - learned a lot and liked the taste of the wild turkey - now just a matter of finding someone cool enuf to let me hunt or stand in the n show line at the state properties to have a chance at going - had 1 guy who i could hunt on his property but he doesnt seem like he really is up for it so i stopped askin - if not this season i will have to put my name in for the draw this fall
