Most of the property is thick cover it is a large mountain that flattens out then drops again and flattens out again lots of hardwood and pine trees as well as several berrie patches.....there is also 2 spring fed streams that run down the mountain......only chance for a long shot is at the top of the hill looking down

:D I forgot to change the name today but I did fix the time and date......I had the cam on the side of a mountain last fall where we were seeing tons of buck sign big rubs and 2 fresh scrapes.....I told mike this ridge is gonna make someone happy......the camera is in a different spot now but it will end up on happy ridge soon ;)

Runway near a steep ridge.....these bucks are young judging by the pics....I'm sure there is bigger around I'm going to start moving the cams around a bit

Yes it is an awesome watch..... The neighbor owns a large swamp on the other side of the food plot.... I'm hoping to draw some bucks from that swamp to the clover does are there so they shouldn't be far behind.... I'm hoping to borrow a range finder from a buddy so I know exactly how far I'm shooting

Yes judging Distance was always a problem before I got one.

I don't do much bow hunting so I'm not going to buy one....once I get my last 2 stands set I hope to borrow one just so I know for sure.....I have never used a range finder

I range a bunch of trees for Amy and tie ribbons that correspond with pin color for the distance for her.

I just shoot a HOYT at 76 lbs. and 1 pin works for it all ::)

Similar to my approach I pace off yardage and tie a small ribbon in the tree at 20 yards
Aa mostly hunt with a muzzleloader or rifle so not many problems with range ;D

I kep saying I am gonna drop it but never do, it doesn't make the multiple time surgically repaired shoulder feel to well after a long shoot or the first draw in thick clothing in freezing weather on stand :-\

Our early bow season only lasts for 2 weeks until muzzleloader....I go a few times but try not to exert much pressure on the deer until muzzleloader....no point ruining a good stand with a limited range weapon imo

Our bow season is 92 days straight...... I bet I hunt 80 of those. Love bow hunting............

I have a good friend bill who is a die hard bow hunter....it is a major challenge for sure.....I lost a doe a few years back and haven't hunted since getting back into it this year ;D

My parents have been seeing a group of 11 deer in the soybeans behind their house I asked dad if any are bucks he says one spike horn.....I figured ther was more bucks just not hitting the field until after dark.....I was pleasantly surprised to see a nice 8 point ;D

This is a small patch of woods between a corn field and soybeans behind my parents house.....I plan on following the trails from the beans toward the corn and setting up an ambush spot for early bow season....I just hope the farmer doesn't cut the beans

I have been seeing more bear sign than ever before at mikes camp this year but never seen a bear.....I decided to put a camera out on the new piece of property the guys recently purchased even though I don't hunt it much and leave it for them.....I was surprised as can be to check the card and find this guy :o

There are more bears being spotted this yr. than any other yr. I'm sure it has to do w/the lack of apples, small acorns & a low berry yield in the woods.

Pretty sure this guy spends most of his time in the swamp......lucky for me this area receives little pressure with me being the only hunter who has permission....

Hope so.....my buddy's brother in law used to hunt it but didn't see him last year.....I will be spending more time here this year though since we aren't hunting sallys farm :'(
