I've been out eraly every morning and that bear I've been trying to get keeps slipping around me. I can hear him but he's smart he doesn't get out in the open, at least not when I'm there. I know he goes out where I could get a shot because when I get done I go look for bear scat and there's plenty of it. I know persistance makes its own rewards.

Hang in there. I'm sure you will catch up with him eventually. Good luck.

It will slip up one of these days 30-30.
Sounds like it may have smelled you, They are wicked tough once the know your there. You might want to back off that spot a little.
You must have an idea which way it is going by now so maybe set up down wind of the trail and wait him out.

Call a bear in with a fawn distress call.

Have you tried the afternoon-evening, I would think it may be more productive.

I was once again thinking the same thing as upstate. They have even a better sense of smell than deer, good chance they've caught your wind. You're 10 steps ahead of me though. Good luck with him!

I know every thing seems to work better on TV but I have seen a few shows with them doing this and it worked..

My son when he was 4yrs old called in a black bear with a fawn distress call. I did not see that on TV, I saw that in person. ;D
