CVA Optima Muzzelloader
« on: Oct 18, 2004, 03:53:59 PM »
Just wanted to drop a note that I recently picked up a CVA Optima in-line muzzelloader in 50 cal.  What a great gun!  I had been looking at the different in-lines for a while now and decided on the break open Optima.  Well as luck would have it a friend had ordered one in for someone who did not end up taking it.  Needless to say after being offered it for cost it came home with me. ;D  I picked it up Sat. morning, sighted it in that afternoon and took a nice big doe at 5PM that day for the opener of PA's early muzzelloader season.  I really like the convenience of the break open design.  The accuracy of this rifle seems to be excellent.  I haven't shot groups at 100 yards yet but at 50 it stacks bullet on top of bullet.  I am very pleased with it to say the least.  I plan on mounting a scope on it and taking it out for another doe later this week.
