Put em to bed last night.
Put em down first light.
3 1/2 Mag is a beautiful thing. 45 yds.
Old bird, on his downside. Not heavy at 19 lbs, but just a hair under 1 1/2 Spurs.

I hunted hard Saturday, hiked 10.5 miles. there were 6 got off the roost but way off. At 630 am all was silent for the entire day. No Sunday hunting here either. I’ll see what the month brings. I’m only into the run and gun for hot birds. I won’t setup up and sit for a quiet one to come in just not my thing.

Yea I love runinn n gunnin. That's mostly how I hunt and how I hunted this bird on Friday, just couldn't get him close enough. So I did my homework that night and got in real close in the dark the next morning.

Ayyup. And damn it tasted good on the grill yesterday.

Awesome! I’m going to head out in a little bit and throw a hen out and just sit the last hour. Just got home from work and it’s to windy to do what I want with them lol

Oh ya. I forgot you guys got all day in Maine. Good luck.
-
Yep I guess that’s the trade off for no sundays, works for me
