Atlantic city
« on: Aug 27, 2013, 06:04:24 AM »
Has anyone ever worked or been to Atlantic city ?  I am going up to work there possible tomorrow until the end of next week to work on a vegetation management cost analyst project.  I heard parts are a real sh*t hole but never been up there myself so looking to find out a little more about it. Might be missing opening weekend of deer season because of this but it will be a good paycheck.

Yep it is. Never stayed long enough to venture out into the city. Always on the boardwalk. But, it's just like any other large city, your daily shootings, stabbings, rapes, murders, robberies, you know, just a normal day.

Any gun shooting a magnum cartridge is going to let you know when the trigger breaks and the primer goes pop---usually in the shoulder, occasionally in the cheek.

Well ... don't forget it is on the Atlantic Ocean .....  home to large fish whether it is blues and stripers close to shore or tuna and swords in the canyons.

There are tons of party boats that go out of Jersey and are fairly inexpensive.

I know catching a 60 lb yellowfin tuna would completely take away the sting if i had to miss opening day of deer   8)

Well actually working just outside Atlantic city along the tidel wetlands.  It's real wet and the misquitoes and deer flies are horrible.

Here are a few pics I took. It's been pretty neat so far learned a good amount about how other power companies conduct line clearance.  The tidal marshes are pretty neat never seen anything like them before  tons if different ducks.  Just got back to Maryland and headed up to NY for the long weekend.
