Title: MA Archery Buck Down...
Post by: deerme on Oct 30, 2013, 08:52:08 AM
I started my three week hunting vacation as of this past Saturday.  Since then I've spent 22 hours in stand in both NH and MA.  It finally paid off yesterday when this young buck came in to feed on clover.  He was quartering away at just over 30 yards.  114 lb 5 pointer.

There is a lot of buck sign in this spot...some massive scrapes.  I hung a camera over a tree w/ four scrapes under it.  Heading to Kansas for two weeks Friday.  Hope to have some nice pics when I get back!

solo on state land.  guess everything is pretty cheap out there (except for buck tags!).  four of us have a full apartment w/ several beds/baths, kitchen, etc for $100/night TOTAL.  so i'll be there for 14 nights and have to pay $350!  supposedly the guys who went last year spend roughly $1500 for the two weeks.  including fuel, food, etc.
