Smartphone hunting apps.
« on: Aug 21, 2011, 09:42:52 PM »
I have the new smartphone and am looking for an app that will bring you right close to the area your hunting. I want something to mark areas that you can click and leave a message or pin. etc,  I have a Droid and downloaded... MyTracks, Navigation,Maps, Lattitude... Anyone use any of these or found one or another easier. Thanks

I just got the 30.hunting ops GPS for 5$ and now I'm kicking my self for buying that garmin Dakota for 200 bones last year.
This app has satellite maps enters waypoints and is 10 times easier to use. If you have a smart phone check this app out.
They also have one for fishing I'll be getting.

I use the wind alert app for hunting and fishing. I am nuts about making sure I do everything in my power to have the wind in my face, especially when bow hunting. It shows you the actual wind direction and speeds as well as the predicted wind direction/speed.
