watch this episode and see just how tough whitetail are, the main hunt shows a monster buck who has lived a tough life... There is another older episode showing a woman who shoots a deer two years prior to actually harvesting it, that video you see the buck drop and when they go over at dark it was gone, two year later he was a live and she took him out for good.

That is funny, Cheeks just called me after cutting up his buck, he found and arrow piece and broadhead between the spine and vitals, there was also a chunk out of his neck from being shot earlier this year...the .270 hole he didn't survive though...very tough animals...shot placement is definitely key...alway a little luck helps too...

Ya that's the only one I posted, but he was shot two other times
