Right now I'm shooting around 55lbs with mechanical broadheads and I know I can shoot higher and my arrows should handle higher. Is it worth increasing to 65lbs? And how much different should arrows shoot in terms of accuracy |
MGK:
You honestly won't gain a whole lot going up 10lbs. Maybe 5-8fps. Yes your bow will shoot a little different once you increase the poundage. It should just shoot high compared to your previous pins. |

What about KE? |

You wont find much difference going from 55 to 65 lbs. Your speed will go up a little and your ke but you'll still be shooting the same size arrow. The only thing you'll gain is your bow will shoot slightly flatter. It's more of a matter of your preference from 55 to 65. I used to shoot 65 but dropped down to 58 because I found it easier to draw the bow back on those long cold sits in nov. |
