Now that is cool. I'd say you were close, should have sat down and let them get on your lap. ;) Never seen a turkey fight, heard a couple while hunting; those two were going at it good. 8)

When I was younger I had never seen a turkey but found some feathers in the woods at times in the old farm my gramps was born on. One day I was walking up the road to go into the woods and saw some turkeys feeding in a front yard with a bunch of pet ducks. I snuck into the woods to get closer for a better look. There was a small pen with a llama in it that was attached to a small shed in an L shape, perfect to sneak around. I slowly worked my way behind the shed, came around the corner.... and right there was a tom turkey in the near of the fence stealing food. I had him cornered a couple feet away and thought he might try to spur so I quickliy eased back around the corner. I saw my first wild tom up close. ;D

that is awesome and I can attest all 10 stitches and all,......dont sit under a roosted turkey cause he gonna take a shot at you
