Super deal Issiah, You sure do have allot of game out there. I thought with all the tracks I saw last year the snowshoes would be great this year. But haven't seen a track this year, and we have had snow for two weeks. I miss going out with the dogs and hearing them bay through the woods.

I have to drive down into the Mohawk Valley to get to good Cottontail country...There is a few here in the Foothills but the Snowshoes are more common...  Lots of Grouse the past two years; mind blowing! Think the past couple easy winters are the reason why...  I too haven't seen many snowshoe tracks yet but would guess that they just aren't moving much yet.

I’ve been seeing a ton of cotton tails this year.  The past few years have been kind of dry around the CNY area.  I’m looking forward to getting the beagles out and chasing a few around.

Let me know if you want to get together this year.  I'm always looking to get out to new places with the girls!  I got two that love to run.

Most of the Spots we use to hunt em at are either Posted now or built on ::)   I do know one good spot we could try some time in Kirkland  I know a couple of good Snowshoe spots but the snow is starting to get deep already!  Maybe it'll melt some.   I'd be up for getting together.

I,m way to far north for cottentails but it has been an up year for our snowshoe hares and the grouse numbers seem to be up as well.

Didn't want to start a new topic, so I'm using this one. I'm in the Netherlands for work for two weeks. You wouldn't believe the cotton tails here. I swear to you I saw at least 20 rabbits in one lawn, wish I got a picture. Almost no one hunts here, because you need to have a lease on 40 hectares(98.8 acres) to get a license and gun laws are real tough too.

Is anyone finding a lot of rabbits this year? I have only seen one! I am getting squirrels left and right but this must be the worst year for snowshoes I have ever seen.

More this year than the last 10 combined. The coyotes are having fun with them though now with the deep snows.
A little crust will hold them, but will kill the deer....Dang Snow!!
