Tuesday afternoon after work I went out and I shot this neat 4 pointer. I got him with my .270 through both lungs at 50 yards. His rack must have gotten damaged while in velvet because it is bent 90 degrees and slightly acorned. I have shot 3 different deer this year with 3 different weapons.
Here is my dad with his 4-pointer he shot a few days earlier with his .270 at 100 yards right through both lungs. His has a broken left antler.
My dad's deer was also unusual in that it had white hooves and if you look closely at the deer on the right (that is his) you can see reminants of it's fawn spots even though it was 1 1/2 years old.
Here is my favorite picture. In all our years of hunting my dad and I have never had a deer at the same time so that we could do a picture together like this.
