Webmaster gets lucky
« on: Nov 27, 2004, 08:32:19 AM »
Got super lucky last Saturday and had this bad boy walk up 50 yards away at 7:30am on opening day of the gun hunt here in Wisconsin. Was raining but he luckily snapped a stick just before he popped out of hemlock stand or I may have never seen it. Then he made the mistake of pausing for a bit before he went to cross a small creek.

That's a dandy buck Scott!!!  I shot a nice big doe this past Wednesday night.  I'm in the HRZ zone in Walworth County so I have until Jan. 3rd to find a nice big buck myself!!! ;D

Scott,

That was worth the slow download!!

Congrats on a super nice buck.

I am up to 4 deer here in NY. Many are saying the season  is terrible here and in fact it is a little slow. I have another week off so I will be back at it tomarrow.

Wow! Nice shot, man.
What is that aluminum (?) tag around it's antler?
Is that how you tag 'em there?
I also see a more convential (paper) tag on it.
Just wondering...
It's easier to escape from a chain gang than a food chain...

Thanks fellas, I didn't get the rack scored yet. The deer weighed in at 182 lbs and did win a local tavern big buck contest...  :)
In Wis you have to register the deer,  they put the metal tag on once it is registered.

let us know what the score is when you get it im guessing close to 160 if the outside spread would have been a little wider it would definitly be 160+ ive been chasing a big one all season only 4 days left oh well just have to wonder how big he will be next year he sure is smart gets by me every day and lets me know it he scents me and snorts every day wish he would make just one mistake maybe this afternoon will be the day
