Thanks guys, that hawk actually stayed for all three shots of 3-shot burst. The spot is great, I gained permission from my friend who didn't allow hunting previously. And shortly after I got in with the neighbors who had no one hunting either. After three years I'm starting to figure the bucks out, there isn't great genetics but big sevens if fine by me. There's tons of food and light pressure in a 300+ acre suburban woodlot. Proof that unrelenting searching for spots does pay off in the long run.

The white stuff is styrofoam...   Ya put a bunch of that in there because the beetles make holes in and lay eggs to produce more larva..  Its the larva that eat 99% of the flesh not the adult beetles..   The adult beetles actually only live for 3 to 4 weeks..
