yah the diamond studded ones are golf ball size on the larger scale of things and are covered in what looks like little gems, doesnt take long to find a bunch depending on the area, my friend and I got a grocery bag full, cut them up and sauteed with some venison steaks and onions, mmm mmm mm

There real good....   I like to fry up a bunch and put the left overs in the fridge...   Then when I want to eat those I bake them in the oven till crisp...

you can eat all puffballs, assuming they are true puffballs, creamy white no gills, and you are good! hedgehogs are also good, hard to find, but easy to identify, we all know morels are kings of spring, chantrelles arent too hard to identify, get a book and check it out! diamond puff balls are usually my favorite cause andyone can find them and you can find a ton in one area makes for a fun/rewarding day
