Haven't had much time to get out. But 2 of my usually good buck spots I haven't seen a thing in weeks. So I went and explored a new private piece that was just offered to me.
Few does I couldn't get shots at since I was just hunting from the ground. Normally would let this one pass but the way the backs been this season and been through kind of a dry spell last 3 weeks and ML is coming so I figured what the hell, might as well add to the freezer. Plus It happened so fast and next thing I knew we were face to face at 15 feet(literally). He popped over a hump and came running right at me after doe grunt. Clean shot through the chest with 400fps mechanical.
Now headed out for my son's first youth deer hunt....Super pumped!
