Peanut butter. Plain wooden trap. You have to coat the bottom of the trigger before you set it, they won't leave any behind (weakness to exploit). I made them an endangered species at my girlfriends house in two weeks. I got over twenty on day one maybe ten on day two and so on. I set over twenty traps and the first night while we were in bed you could hear SNAP........SNAP.........all night long.

If you use poison you should change the kind you use four times a year, stronger stuff for fall and spring and cheaper stuff for winter and summer. In the barn I work in I bought a pail of hombre, that was a year ago and I haven't seen a live mouse since and we were using poison before that too. Oh and use chunks and not pellets, they like to stash.
