Saw a giant last night in a field. Hope to see him again this weekend. Bought some buck pee, not sure if it works.

How many sabots can you shoot before your bullets are effected.  Checking bullet drop on my inline today and I was using 230grain 50cal t/c hollowpoints
+2"@25yards
+1.5"@50yards
+1"+@75yqrds
0@100yards
-1"@125
but then they were a bitch to load and it was 2' high

get rid of that junk 777 and switch to bh209. you can shoot litterally dozens of shots w/ out cleaning and not effect the p.o.i. one bit and it doesnt get any harder to load. in fact, it gets slightly easier. clean it up and send another down range and have the EXACT point of impact as w/ a fouled barrel. honest to god if you try it you wont be disapointed. plus 777 has a shelf life, bh209 does not. more velocity then 777 and absolutley no crud ring. i took me 4 patches to get my barrel back to completely clean after lining up my new cva MR a couple weeks ago. if you dont like it ill huy it from you for what you gave. i have about 50 oz. on hand  but i will continue to but it when ever i find a decent buy too. i do have 1lb of 777 brand new un opened i would trade for anyones bh209 who didnt want it as well. thats how confiodent i am you will be impressed. 8)

AA is correct. at the range, i clean between shots. i have done some shooting w/out cleaning inbetween and i haven't noticed much if any difference on the 2nd or 3rd, but shot #4 is where i notice the change. harder to load, and the accuracy isn't the same. you just gotta make that first one count!

the othe rthing w/ muzzle loaders that most ppl dont know anyhting about is your bore dia. a .50 cal isnt just .50 and thats it. it can be anywheres from .498 to .504 the best way to avoid this hard loading crap and having to do freaquint cleranings for accuracy to maintain is to slug your barrel, figure out YOUR true dia. and select your bullets accordingly. example, my cva takes a .502  where my greay hawk likes .500. now if i try to shoot horny, shockwaves w/ a .502 sabot in my tc its gonna load hard afdter the third or 4th shot.........harder then it already does anyhow. tc's are noted for tighter bores. .499ish typically/ the other thiung that ppl dont realize that make loading increasingly harder is shooting sabots. the plastic leaves a film that really gums up rifling. even a little melted plastic. plus the more powder you shoot the harder its gonna be to load after a shot or two w/ a tighter bore because of more powder to foul your barrel. i typically settle in between 80-90grains by volume and have not so many issues and none since i switchedto bh209 two seasons ago. i actually am shooting 105gr by volume (87 by weight) w. a 250gr thor at 2200 fps from my short barreled MR!! thats screamin for a smoke pole not shooting a magnum charge. 8)

Tons of info guys thanks. Got shot down by the lady with the giant buck in her yard Halloween night today. Then a denial by mail today for a giant peninsula on the lake near here that I see deer run into. So tonight I felt happier almost hitting a couple does a mile from my house.  At least some are not on posted land.
