Everything's Hungry
« on: Feb 01, 2022, 08:01:35 PM »
So, I have a birdfeeder outside my front window under a cedar, pair of cardinals has been visiting for a few years and finally the squirrels have found it this past year. Last week I was watching and filming the first black squirrel under to show up. He was on the ground, then went back up the tree and I stopped the video...

I lowered the phone, looked left and was surprised to see 2 deer right in the road and coming, started video again, here's a still...

A couple trucks came down the hill and they ran back across the road, then I saw 4 more feeding on the south facing hillside where there was little snow and some acorns left. I had noticed tracks in the yards across the road earlier, went out and checked later and they were under the feeder the previous night.

Its always archery season. >>>---------->

Cool Jeff.  Where I lived in Michigan almost all the squirrels were black…

 I have to try that video posting site.

Had been seeing turkeys in the neighborhood until the snow got deeper, well actually started hearing them from inside the house. First time was mid-September on a rainy afternoon when I heard yelping from my couch. Grabbed a box call and had them yelping and gobbling back, a bunch of jakes ended up in my backyard right above the brook.

Heard them a couple more times and always grabbed the box call, had a hen come running right up the road one time.
