Advice?

I have a 887 nitro mag 12ga 28" barrel I have some Winchester 3 1/2 BB and some federal 3" BB
What should be my shooting range
What do you recamend for shells?

Welcome to the site. Only way to tell is to shoot some paper and see what type of pattern you're getting with each load.

Assuming your shooting steel posting in the waterfowl forum max range for those shells is probably about 40-45 yards maybe a touch more wouldnt push it past 50.  What are you targeting? ducks? geese? We use 3" kent fasteel 2's for ducks and kent fasteel bb and bbb for geese.  Shooting those 3.5's all day wasnt my idea of fun and i shoot an SBEII which handle recoil very well... 

On the other hand i wouldnt leave the house during turkey season with out 3.5" loads.
