Filling the time before ice
« on: Dec 14, 2020, 08:52:13 AM »
Since me and the boy are done with deer season and the freezer is full,  I needed something to keep him in the outdoors, off the electronics, and occupied until we get some ice. Had a great weekend of chasing some small game! We had some success with squirrels but came up short on the rabbits.
I don't care if they're tree rats..lol...we had a blast. Time well spent, several miles walked, and some tasty little morsels to munch on.

Awesome.

I am hoping to get my 8 year old after them right after deer season closes.

The greys are great! My wife thinks I'm nuts but roasted over the fire they are quite tasty! Nice job getting the next generation into them.... the population could use some thinning

Nice Jason!

The little back straps in flour in a hot butter pan are where it’s at!
It's not being cocky if you can back it up!

Fun time. Love me some Buffalo squirrel. Cut them into quarters and cook just like wings.

Greys are fun to hunt, good to eat and I found you can learn a lot about deer while hunting them. I watched a very nice buck make a scrape one morning. You are doing everything right....h2l

Nice . Coyote hunting with the youngens, that works. Awesome. Anything to keep em out and not have to hear TikTok or video games everywhere in the house.  ;)

Way to go!

The princess is getting her first compound bow from me to celebrate December 25th. I just hope she’s ready for the 25# draw weight!

Nice work. I was going to try and get my 7 year old out with me to chase down some squirrels, but then we got 2 feet of snow. It will make pulling stands next week interesting. Ski conditions will be great this weekend though.
