Good eats.  Been unusually slow past two days here.  Hows the shore bite been?

I haven’t been out in over a month! Looks like the bite is steady though. I might splash the boat again if I can get one more deer in the freezer.

Bow hunted again yesterday. Ended up seeing 4 bucks, 1 shooter and 6 does/fawns. Nothing in range except a fawn.

This morning I hunted with the rifle and didn’t see anything.

Tomorrow looks good...

Bow hunted all day yesterday. I had deer around me most of the day. 10 bucks and at least 10 does and fawns. Passed on a spike and came to full draw on a decent 6 pt. Not a great shot so I passed. Some grunting and chasing. The kind of day that I wait all year for.

I hope to get back out Thursday. It’s going to be in the teens that morning, brrrrrrrrr.

I had the opportunity to go to Kansas last week. Was able to get it done the first day. The pic does not do him justice. The beams are 23 inches and he has a 16.5 inside spread.

Saw 2 bucks chasing a doe about 9am then a buck cruising bout 10am.  Freinds are seeing the bigger bucks up and moving w does.   Just had a 4pt cruise thru while settling in. Snow makes them easy to spot.

Looks like a great day. Had a buck chase two does under me. About 20 mins later, here comes 2 different bucks trackin those does in the wrong direction.  They eventually figured it out. 2 of the 4 were grunting along the way.

I snuck out tonight with the rifle. 3 small bucks and a doe. That is some great action for my area.
