Have had a terrible season so far with loosing two deer with my bow and a miss on a nice 8 pointer with my shotgun Wednesday. Havent had meat since august so I decided to put down the first baldie I saw and fill my bonus doe tag. the 30-06 made a mess.

Thanks. I took all of my vacation at once this year so a total of 3 weeks. It's been fun but I'll be back to work soon.

I did too man! I really thought this week would be hot but its not!
I Shot a doe tonight with the bow now I can go horn hunt with the boom stick.

Well done guys...been seeing nothing but little bucks....good for the coming years,..., but not when you're looking for a stud. Finally had 2 big boys reappear last night (2am) on cameras. Haven't seen them since first part of September   8)

Good luck everyone. Having 2 deer already, I doubt I'll pull the trigger today. Going to be very selective on what buck I take.

Well I know I said I would be selective but when a buck comes out bird dogging the field looking for does, well I got real excited. I have several nice bucks on the wall and this little guy got me pumped just as they did. So he filled my buck tag. Hit him this morning around 8:00. He was shoulder shot. Let him lay and came back around noon. Kicked him up several times. He just wasn't bleeding and running on 3 legs. I eventually got him and put him down fast. Can't eat the horn. 100% pure organic meat that doesn't cause a crohns flare up like store bought meat.

Now I can go back to chasing ducks and pheasants.

Awesome job Guys!!!! I had a rough weekend at camp as far as deer sightings go, saw 4 total in 3 and a half days hunting hard. The loggers really messed up our hill we usually hunt and it has the deer patterns I grew up with totally discombobulated. Our group of 6 good hunters took 1 deer, a button buck my buddy Dave took. I misses a doe with a decent buck, and he offered me a way better shot but with no tag after my 6 I had to wait for him to totally clear her and by that time I had one small window left and I miss timed her jump and shot right under her. Oh well Hopefully this snow sticks around till next weekend and I can fill my 2 remaining Doe tags.
