So I saw a big 8 at like 100 yards. Grunted at him and her stopped walking and looked towards me.he waited like 5 minutes so I tried grunting again. He just continues to stare. I tried rattaling and got no reaction. I tried my deer can for a bleat and he startef to trot off in the direction he was going. Should I not have used the can. Should I have tried anything else.

Might have been to many different calls is a short time period. If I can't get them to come in after a couple grunts I'll try a snort wezz call if he is a big one.

It was bow. Dont think he saw me but I was only behind a fallen tree.

Bigger guys want to see something if they aren't down wind of the sound....a spike may trot right in...bigger bucks will stop and look it over....Also may have been just to much calling.....Watched a big guy going through in front of me one morning....tried to stop him a couple times...grunted at him and he turned and faced me..but never stepped towards me....then a spike that was hanging with him ran right up to 10 yards in front of me.....I could call that spike back at will....the big guy just looked for a few more minutes and walked off.....
