After last year's lack of deer due to winter/predator kills, I found a new area to try this year. Scouted this week and found some fresh sign and a promising scrape line. It might take me a few seasons to get a feel for the deer movement in the area but I'm willing to put in the time. Wish me luck :D

Good luck man!
Is there a wolf season up there or are they off limits?

Good luck. It's fun to try to figure out a new area. And at least you know there's something there.

A wolf is allowed as long as you hold a big game licence for the season that is open. You don't have to use your game tag on the wolf. I have a wolf rug mounted on the wall.....7 feet from nose to tail. Big Alpha male. Got him while hunting elk quite a few years ago

Thanks :)Things will sure look different this coming hunting week as we got our first winter dump last night.....12 inches! Not a trace of snow last week where I was hunting.
Funny how we go from one extreme to another.......well maybe not so funny ::)
Got the snow tires on the truck and snowshoes in the back.......this is going to be harder than my job ;D
