I started using the fusions in my 30.06 because they shot the best for me. I have had good luck with them all along and even took a moose with them a few years back. I then traded my 06 for a 270 and continued to use them along with some federal premiums with 150 grain partitions. I shot a deer last year and he dropped where he was (was shooting the fusions).  The bullet actually exited so I can't say anything about weight retention or mushrooming or anything but they have done me well in my experience.
