No Accident!

Posted in the Rochester , NY D&C newspaper. This is no accident, this is pure stupidity for cleaning a loaded shotgun. Why was it even loaded in the house? It amazes me that near hunting season each year you hear of something like this. A couple years ago a women was cleaning her shotgun and put a deer slug in her knee and eventually bled to death. This was in the living room of her house.

(October 5, 2004) —

CANANDAIGUA — A woman was seriously injured when the shotgun her son was cleaning in another room discharged and struck her while she sat in a chair last night.

Susan Reader, 47, of 4376 Middle Cheshire Rd., was struck in the face and upper body by the blast that came through the wall from her son's room. She was listed in guarded condition at Strong Memorial Hospital this morning.

Ontario County Sheriff deputies are still investigating the shooting, but said it appears to be accidental. No charges have been filed against Reader's son, Paul John Reader, 19.

Here in PA we just had someone shot through the hand by a "stray arrow".  Yeah right!  There was an arrest made last night in the shooting case.  The arrow may have strayed from its intended point of impact but my guess is not by much.

it happened in the buffalo area this past hunting season as well dont quote me on the story but it was something like this      a lady woke up one morning to get her son ready for school and noticed a hole abve his head board upon further investigation by her she noticed another hole in an exterior wall the police were called and it was found to be a slug from a hunters gun its a shame because it was a slug they dont travel for a mile so it is thought to be either intentional or some idiot that has no idea where hes hunting
