what kind of .223 do you have, jiggy?

I called a Yote up to the side of my truck by making sounds with my mouth on the back of my hand, I got a few good pics up close w/ cell phone but don't know how to get them up on MHF. If anyone would like to see them I'll send them to their phone# and they check them out and/or post them as well .
I was scouting for deer and didn't have a gun with me. I also got pics of the same yote a little later going after a chuck then a skunk , These were on a digital camera but the light was low not as easy to see.
-
go to the picture in you phone, hit "options" for that pic, then select send. type your own e-mail address into the box, and you should receive it on your computer.

Grousemaster, not sure on the weight? After trying to hold it up like that in the pic(digital) I had to tell my wife to focus first and then take the pic when I held it up! I'm guessing + or - 50 lbs.??? The pic of the coyote and buck laying next to each other really shows the size of a lot of these coyotes!
-
yep - you don't see too many coyotes around here that big. good job!
-
our eastern coyotes seem to run bigger than the western. Might be a different strain
-
What i was told that the coyotes along the st lawerence are more wolf than any regular yotes.
-
nice looking dogs..

welcome to the site BBR. Thats a nice yote, what kind of revolver is that? Give us a low down on how you got him.
-
Thanks for the welcome. Its a Heritage .22 Mag, and this was actually the first time I took it on a hunt. I just wanted something lightweight and it fit the bill. Last Saturday I took the coyote in Rockbridge County using a Circe call and a cheap squeaker. Previously, I hadn't had much luck in that area. I had heard coyotes and seen sign but none would respond to the calls. This one came running for the distress call and the magnum round put it down. Now I take the pistol with me every time as a second string gun.
-
nice brooks... how close?
-
No more than twenty feet
-
reminds me of my first 'yote:
10 yds.... wish i had the bow
