Archery whitetail hunt

Finally got out hunting last Fri and hunted thru Monday for elk and deer.  Didn't tag an elk, but had 4 large bulls within 35 yards.  Couldn't shoot due to it being a cow only area with a general tag, but it sure got the adrenaline pumping having those monsters breathing down my neck!  Sunday evening sat a treestand for a whitetail and tagged out on this 145" 5x5.  10 minutes later a friend shot the 130" 4x4 from a stand 150 yards away.  I'm still waiting for the pic of another hunters 150" 5x6 that was shot the next evening from the same stand as the 4x4.  He even managed to tag a calf elk the next morning.  I wasn't with him, but I believe his face is hurting due to the grin from ear to ear (it was his largest archery whitetail and first archery elk).  Next up for me is antelope and maybe some fall walleye fishing with the boy.  Good hunting this fall to all! - OH

Great deer for sure! Looking like they recovered from last year well.....was wondering if this dry summer had effected the antler growth at all....
