Title: SPECIAL TAGS DRAW ON THE 16

Special Elk tags and Deer tags in montana will be drawn on wed the 16 .
Good luck all hope you get that bull elk or muley buck tag of a life time !!!!

Well I have checked atleast 100 times so far I'm still waiting ...

Its my wifes birthday today , hope she gets drawn for something good.

Good luck. How are the tags given out are they regional areas or state wide?

We are trying for specific are for bull elk and muley deer.
I all ready have my licences for them for general hunting but I'm trying to get trophy areas .just a better chance at some monsters.!!!!!
They will have over the counter tags for sale for nonresidents on may 5 I believe.
I will look itup and put the info on here for anybody thinking they might hunt Montana this year.

We were not so lucky this year. No worries we still have general tags. We will just have to hunt harder.

Ya, been roughly 10 years of applying... hunting cows and always seeing those nice bulls at 50 yards. Now that I can actually shoot one I am sure I will have to bust my butt to see anything with horns now, and the cows will be the ones standing at 50 yards looking at me!

Well I'm sure you will tag a big one.
I found out a few years ago drawing a special tag isn't the best thing . I became obsessed with elk fever and pasted 340+ bulls at 30+ yards with my bow because all my co workers told me every day not to shoot a dink ..well let me tell you tag soup was horrible that year. I lost 27 pds. Put my family through hell for that season.

So get this the next year comes around and I refussed to put in for that tag again...but my co workers  working on me again convinced me to put in for it onthe last day.
Well I drew that tag again . My wife wasn't to happy with me...

So the season starts and I promiced to be a good father and not become crazy again . I still hunted everyweekend for the hole season and took a 300 " 6 x 6 elk.
That same year I drew a great buck tag and shot a 180" muley...

So good luck scout asmuch as you can and take the one that gives you the chance..
