How come the first two photos are in the same spot?

We bring our deer to an old barn to butcher them and pics are taken there.

Wrong wind to hunt the buck I'm currently after so decided to try and shoot a doe.

Nice deer, lucky to get an early start in MD.

Got out looking for a bear yesterday and only found some deer. No bear sign where I was, they have been there the last few years, need to keep looking. Surprised to see a good number of acorns despite the widespread damage from gypsy moths caterpillars. Lots of reds still in the trees near the top of the mountain, they've been falling down low; a few whites/chestnuts here and there.

This buck was heading right for me, spotted me as I was moving closer for a better pic. Picked and marked a nice tree, will be back there.

Between work and the warmer than forecast temps I haven't been back in the woods since Monday, summer isn't giving up. Things are looking better after soon, highs in the mid 60s or less and 40s at night. Archery for deer starts tomorrow and I will be out stillhunting.

Good luck Jeff.  Maybe you will be able to sneak up on the one in your last picture…..

4 does/fawns this morning, closest I could get without spooking them was 35 yards, too far and too many eyes. Moved ahead after they fed off and saw why they were feeding there: freshly dropped chestnut oak acorns. Then I looked up and spotted the first rub of the year, about 40 yards away near the top of the ridge, and he is hitting it from both directions. Picked out a nice tree and will be heading back there soon for the evening hunt with my climber, good thing we had more rain come through to wash away my scent.

2 does came in downwind around 5:30, feeding slowly below me, 1 got to 40 yards and was heading my way when the 2nd doe caught my scent and they both walked back where they came from tails up. They came up the same way as the deer this morning. Finally at sunset a yearling doe came down the ridge giving me an easy shot 5 yards from the tree... and I passed, 2 this morning were much bigger and it's only the first day. This is big woods with low deer density, so seeing 7 today is a good sign.

This is the view 100 yards from the tree...
