i wouldn't hang a stand at 5-530 myself. cuttin it too close imo.

so you found a hot spot and you know deer are frequenting it.  why would you even consider going in there to hang a stand during prime activity time?!  don't do it!

im pulling my old stand tonight (the one i am moving) and when I get back from the Big E on sat around 12 I am going to hang it in the new spot, then head to the seacoast to hunt my other stand.

i saw 19 deer in 5 nights and two mornings of sitting in my stand for an hour or so each time. some of the deer were repeat customers some not. didnt seem to bother them at all w/ the noise and scent...oh and omg, not even wearing camo :o

i supose no bucks and the biggest doe i was after showed on the two days i didnt sit. oh well. wasnty all wasted though as i finally took the timer to figure out my go pro and understand how to really use it. should make this bird and rabbit season alot more intertesting. duck hunting too! its been fun reading about everyones encounters on this thread aswell.

seems like that stand is very productive, post some video once you get the go pro up and running live action. I agree I am glad everyone is chimming in talking about their season

i have some vids on the computer already, most are long though. one is 18 minutes of deer feeding under my feet.  it takes a long azz time to down load to photobucket. is there a better way?? ide post them so you guys could bore yourselves to death if you want lol.

....and yes, it could have been productive if a man just wanted A deer... saw two or three guys at the store over there in the a.m. tagging deer the size of dogs. pretty early in the season for that for me but each to their own. they were happy and thats all that matters i supose.
