the cable clamps make a loop themselves. try not to over think it man. keep it simple and functional. i remeber when i used to stick a notched board in the crotch of some birches lol.the old stands from the 70's had chain! a little loud but w/ some foam pipe insulation they made due and killed deer

they do, but the bolt head could pull through. i could put a large washer on there though and solve that problem.

yep. ive even made the loop go around a rung in the stand before and that worked out well too

i'm gonna price it out, see which is cheaper. ordering some or making my own.
