Great job!! You know sometimes we have to work extra hard at getting a nice buck like that and this one was no exception! You more than earned this one and I hope the next comes a lot easier for you next time, as I'm sure it will. Now you have a hunting story not many can say happened to them that will surely last a life time. Probably will be the first one you tell your grandkids someday.

Now get some sleep!

Great gene pool in those woods AA.
A lot of antler for 150lb deer.
Great job.

If you were using photobucket and moved some of the photos into a folder or group it usually asks if your sure you want to do that. It breaks the link to them.

O OK that is exactly what I did upstate, thank you. Yes newfound I was impressed with a rack like that 2 too buddy, the right brow tine is 5 inches! Even on my big bucks they dont have a brow that nice.  The killing tree struck again, thats now 5 yrs. in a row  with good bucks off that tree. All those bucks I posted last week were the same exact tree.

LOL, I don't have any Killing tree seeds or I would be planting them everywhere.... ;D
To be honest though, had I been sitting where I shot the buck 2 years ago on Monday....I may have taken another. Both of those bucks had to go right through there.
Maybe this afternoon, it's a pretty good spot if the wind is blowing like they are predicting...

playing the wind  is the single most important thing on picking your spot for the day, I see more people not pay attention to it and cant figure it out? I hope you do get in there tonite and smoke him, I bet your old man has something cooking for ya.

I know your story all to well. About 6 years ago on Thanksgiving morning @ 9:00am a nice buck came up to me chasing a doe. I fired and for some unknown reason the buck turned off the doe before the shot rang out. I saw the deer flinch but kept on trucking. I followed that blood trail in a big loop @ 1.5 miles all day till I ran out of light. All the next day (after a night of no sleep) and nothing! on the final Sat. of the season from the same stand@ about 11:00am I saw a Buck come up the same trail the one I had hit was on. I smoked him in his tracks this time. Was not until I got up to him did I realize it was the same deer I had hit just 2 days prior. AWESOME! Talk about a release of anxiety! phew! I had never been so happy. Great job great buck! Congrats
